Christmas Fairy Lights

With Christmas fast approaching it’s time to think about how you’re going to decorate the house and the yard.

Whereas tradition has it that only the Christmas Tree was lit, traditionally with candles, it is now common to see not just Trees, but windows, roofs, yards all covered with lights.

Today with the advances in technology it is possible to illuminate just about anything and everything at an affordable cost.

Christmas Fairy Lights come in a variety of styles and colors and your display options are simply limited by your imagination.

Types of Christmas Lights

Fairy Lights – the most common type of Christmas Light and one of the most versatile coming as it does in varying lengths, colors, styles. These lights are generally bulbs on wire strands which are evenly spaced with each length including a fuse bulb. When bulbs burn out they are easily replaced.

LED Lights – these lights are low on power consumption, cool to the touch and don’t require bulb replacement. They come in a variety of single colors and also come in color changing forms where the lights gradually change through a range of colors.

Solar Lights – solar outdoor lights are becoming increasingly common and are great where you need illumination but don’t have access to power. Like all solar lights they charge themselves during the day and provide illumination when dark.

Net Lights – these lights, generally LED lights, are connected together in a grid allowing them to be displayed in any form whether hung straight in a window to give the appearance of a grid of light or whether draped over a plant to make it appear that the plant is uniformly lit.

Rope Lights – these LED lights look like a rope of lights, are extremely easy to install and store and provide a soft light. They are available in a variety of styles varying from color, to display patterns such as chaser, twinkle or flashing.

Animated Lights – these are shapes that have LED lights which illuminate the shape. They come in many shapes, sizes and colors. Some of the most popular are Angels, Stars, Nativity Scenes.

Battery Operated Lights – for extra versatility around the house battery lights don’t require access to a fixed power source and increase the choice of locations you are able to light and it’s far simpler to hide a battery pack than to disguise trailing extension cords.

And when Christmas is over don’t think that the lights need to put away till the following year. Christmas Fairy Lights (whether or not it’s Christmas) can bring sparkle and light to any event and can have many outings.
